Texas Inference Inc ("Texas Inference") runs its services from data centers in the State of Texas. Section 8 of the Terms of Service limits who we can serve. This page repeats and expands it.
1. Where the service runs
Every lane and every GPU rental runs in a confidential virtual machine in Texas. We do not move work to another state or country for capacity. See section 7 of the Data Processing Addendum.
2. Who we can serve
We serve organizations. We do not serve a customer, or anyone acting for one, in these cases:
- the customer is located in, organized in, or controlled from a country or territory under a comprehensive US embargo
- the customer is on a US government list of restricted parties, or is owned or controlled by someone who is
- the intended use is the development of weapons of mass destruction or missile systems
The embargoed places and the restricted party lists are set by the US government and they change. We follow them as published by the Treasury Department's Office of Foreign Assets Control and the Commerce Department's Bureau of Industry and Security. Where this page and those lists differ, the lists control.
3. Why
The service uses advanced GPUs and AI models that are subject to the US Export Administration Regulations and to US sanctions law. A lane or rental may need a license, or may be barred, depending on who the customer is and where they are. We screen customers before we release GPUs or start a lane. We may screen again at any time.
4. What we may ask for
We may ask for information that confirms your identity, your ownership, and your intended use. We may refuse or end service if you do not provide it. We may also suspend service when the law requires it. Section 9 of the Terms describes the notice.
5. Access from abroad
Your staff may reach the service from outside the United States only if neither the person nor their location is barred under section 2. A customer may not give access to anyone who would be barred. Sharing access outside your organization is already forbidden under section 7.2 of the Terms.
